September is National Preparedness Month. Unfortunately, disasters and emergencies can happen at any time. Having plans ready to go can make a huge difference to you and your family.
When you think about safety, especially in the workplace, what comes to mind? Maybe you’re in a specific industry and safety means grabbing another colleague for a team lift. Or wearing your hard hat. Or possibly your fall protection. Or some other kind of PPE. If you work in an office, maybe safety doesn’t have much meaning for you. Or maybe it means being ergonomic, or holding onto the stair rail so you don’t slip and fall.
If you’ve kept up with our posts, you know how much we at Lift Your TableⓇ love our pets! July 15 is National Pet Fire Safety Day, and so we’ve rounded up some tips on keeping pets safe.
Before the pandemic, working from home wasn’t very common. But when buildings started closing to halt the spread of the virus, many offices allowed their employees to work from home. It’s been a bumpy road so far, and what going forward looks like isn’t exactly clear either. Still, June 24 is National Work From Home Day.
This year we gave you some great tips for Mother’s Day, and now it’s time for Father’s Day! Very few guys need to wear ties anymore, and we’ve got some other ideas for him.
Many of our clients like to craft and sew. Since June 13th is National Sewing Machine Day, we want to celebrate you! The day commemorates the first working model of the machine in 1874 by an Englishman named William Newton Wilson. As you know, sewing is a relaxing activity… but there are plenty of additional benefits too.
Spinning turntables on top of folding tables is life for a lot of our DJ clients. They love to lift up the surface of their tables with our risers so they’re not straining their backs for the whole set. If you want to see a DJ and our risers in action, check out our friend Har Megiddo who was so thrilled to find our risers, he made this video for us for FREE on YouTube here!
We believe it’s important to celebrate the women in our lives. Mother’s Day, on May 9 this year, is a great time to do it! Instead of (or in addition to) flowers this year, try something that benefits your mom or another special woman in your life in different ways.
Do you have administrative professionals (including virtual assistants) working from home? These professionals do a lot of work, for both big and small businesses... especially the things we business owners don’t really want to do, frankly! Recognize your admins on Administrative Professionals Day, April 28. Even better than flowers? Keeping them safe and comfortable in their home office.
Safety isn’t just about being physically safe. Unfortunately, plenty of bad actors exist online and your best bet is to protect yourself against them. You also want to make sure that all your documents are safe. World Backup Day is March 31, and so it’s a great time to think about your tech safety!
