Do you have administrative professionals (including virtual assistants) working from home? These professionals do a lot of work, for both big and small businesses... especially the things we business owners don’t really want to do, frankly! Recognize your admins on Administrative Professionals Day, April 28. Even better than flowers? Keeping them safe and comfortable in their home office.

Are you keeping your ticker in tune while working from home? It’s sometimes hard to remember the basics when you’re juggling home and work. But your family needs your heart! There’s nothing worse than a holiday gone wrong because of a safety issue. We often write about keeping your back safe, but we like to think about safety culture everywhere, including at home. The idea for our folding table riser products all started with another company that we owned: a catering business. Most folding tables are designed for banquet height, which is about 29-30” above the ground. It’s usually the perfect height for sitting and eating. Other benefits of folding tables is that they’re pretty inexpensive and can be repurposed for a variety of uses. As caterers, we often used them for preparing the food. The problem was that the right height for eating is not the right height for standing. Our workers had to crouch down to work, which hurt their backs.
We’ve told you a little bit about our story before. We started as caterers and had to find a solution for helping our workers’ aching backs. They were working from folding tables that were simply too low. Flash forward thousands of sets later, we now know fully how our folding table risers can work for you in your home or business.
The National Week of Making was last month, but we think it’s never too late to celebrate our clients! We have a lot of customers who use our folding table risers to lift up their work surfaces so they can work on their craft without hurting their backs. There are so many different things to make and it’s exciting to be able to support people who are in this group.
As you know, here at LiftYourTable™ we want to save your backs! In addition to lifting your folding table work surface so you're not hurting your back, there are daily habits that also help keep your back in good shape.
Working from home is here to stay, for those whose jobs allow for it. Many of our clients will be back to work on their warehouse floor, some in offices, and some at home. No matter where you are, World Environment Day (on June 5) is a reminder that staying green is still important! Here are some ways that you can remain sustainable, no matter where your workspace happens to be.
