The 15th of August is National Back to School Prep Day… and depending on how old your kids are - and whether they’re your kids or kids that you’re teaching - your prep probably still needs a plan so you don’t forget anything!
Here at Lift Your TableⓇ folding table risers, we believe in giving back. In fact, one of the reasons we selected our office is that it’s close to our local high school. We look forward to mentoring young people who aspire to own their own businesses.
Look at this face! Her name is Hope, and she was adopted from a shelter over the pandemic by our logistics manager Pat and her hubby. April 30 is National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, and if you’re looking for a new pet, skip the puppy mills and inbred purebreds and head over to a local shelter instead.
When I think about being a woman in business, I actually feel like being a woman gives me an advantage because women are used to juggling tasks. A founder, at least initially, must be able to do pretty much everything that has to do with starting up a company. From creating the product to packaging it, pricing it, selling it, financing it…the list goes on and on.
If you’re like most people, you’re probably aware that you’re stressed and don’t need Stress Awareness Month to figure it out! Not only is this a problem for us in general, it may also cause problems at work.
As an employer, did you know that March 4 is National Employee Appreciation Day? What with the Great Resignation and the pandemic and everything that’s been going on, your staff could definitely use some heartfelt appreciation!
In previous posts this month, we’ve mentioned a few inventors and entrepreneurs who made charity a focus of their work. This week, we’d like to celebrate some more Black philanthropists and where they focus their energies. Giving back has a solid foundation in the Black community.
If you saw our article from last week, we discussed a variety of Black inventors, all of them male. This week we’re spotlighting Black women inventors.
We’re celebrating National Inventors Day on February 11. We invented portable folding table risers. Not to toot our own horn or anything, but we are the #1 seller of folding table risers on Amazon. (Toot toot!)
