We’re so excited to open our corporate office in The Spa City, Desert Hot Springs. The ribbon-cutting, held June 17 and jointly hosted by the Greater Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center, brought out plenty of old and new friends and colleagues to help us celebrate.

Among others, Desert Hot Springs mayor Scott Matas and council members Jan Pye, Russell Betts, and Gary Gardner all joined in the festivities. Sister company The Cone Zone was on hand providing cool fun (on a 110 degree plus day!) as well as hot dogs and other treats. Our local news team KESQ was on hand too so you can catch the ribbon-cutting video here.

About our grand opening event

Even though Desert Hot Springs was experiencing a massive 123 degree (yes, 123 degree!) record-heat that day, plenty of people were on hand to enjoy the occasion. It brought people together who had never met before, or who didn’t know each other well. Not just from the Spa City, but from across the Coachella Valley. See our short wrap up video here.

In addition to the speeches (which everyone kept short and sweet), business owners mixed and mingled and networked, which was great to see. We all succeed when we lift each other up – we operate from a mindset of abundance, not scarcity. There’s enough to go around!

And of course, we had fun with the TWO pairs of giant scissors to officially cut the ribbon!

About our new location

We believe strongly in giving back to our community, and so we chose a location in Desert Hot Springs across from the high school. We want to give local students the opportunity to work for a local business, while having the opportunity to take pride by working in their own hometown, and to give us the opportunity to mentor young people interested in business and entrepreneurship.

The Coachella Valley community has been very supportive of us as well. In fact, we developed manufacturing business acumen and company expansion by attending workshops and counseling offered by Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center. It’s a nonprofit organization that counsels, teaches, encourages, and inspires women business owners at every stage of development and growth.

About our company

This is a product that developed out of a need from our catering business where the staff complained of back pain and neck strain as a result from working at folding tables that were simply too low to work from in a standing position.

When we looked for something to solve the problem we discovered there was nothing commercially available. (For more about how we came to be the first to manufacture folding table risers, click here to read the whole story).

It is exciting to experience this growth as our table risers become a staple in work, school, and office environments. We’re grateful, and also passionate, about providing a product that eliminates discomfort and improves the productivity of workers.

Our table risers easily adjust to lift folding tables from seated height to counter height or higher. Notable clients include Whole Foods, Netflix, Pepsi, Nordstrom Rack, Stanford University, Lululemon, Holiday Inn Express, Goodwill, The North Face, Cheesecake Factory, Urban Outfitters, and many others.

Founded in 2012, we’re one of the first few woman and minority- owned manufacturing companies in the Coachella Valley, having been certified by both Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and National Minority Supplier Development Council.
