Why Should You Lift The Surface Of Your Folding Table?

The idea for our folding table riser products all started with another company that we owned: a catering business. Most folding tables are designed for banquet height, which is about 29-30” above the ground. It’s usually the perfect height for sitting and eating.
Other benefits of folding tables is that they’re pretty inexpensive and can be repurposed for a variety of uses. As caterers, we often used them for preparing the food. The problem was that the right height for eating is not the right height for standing. Our workers had to crouch down to work, which hurt their backs.
We couldn’t find anything commercially available to lift up the tables and keep them sturdy, so we developed our own. They’re portable, easy to use, and come in several different heights. We discovered that all kinds of people need to lift up their folding tables so they can work comfortably and protect their backs.
Safety managers use them in their warehouses to help prevent back strains and sprains and reduce OSHA recordables and worker’s comp claims.
Retail managers use them to help their back-of-the-house employees like receivers to save their backs. And during COVID-19, to create easily-seen barriers to protect their front-of-house workers too.
Also during COVID-19, people working from home need to create sit-stand desks so they don’t have to sit down all day, which is bad for human health.
We found that DJs appreciate the risers so they can work comfortably while traveling around to all their gigs.
At Lift Your Table we love dogs, especially our pooch Bunny, and we found out that some dog groomers use folding tables for their work.
Home crafters often repurpose their folding tables too. Whether it’s quilting, sewing, woodworking, or other hobbies, they save money by lifting up their surfaces instead of buying a whole new table.
For many people, whether they’re at work or home, being able to stand comfortably instead of sitting brings them mental and physical benefits. Too much time on any seat is bad for your health, and it’s easier to move around when you’re already on your feet.

I set up an area on my back porch for bleaching and dyeing shirts. Unfortunately, the tables I got didn't have adjustable heights. My back was constantly aching from bending over a table for prolonged periods. I ordered these after seeing all the reviews on Amazon. What a lifesaver! They went on so easily and the tables are super sturdy. Perfect height for working without pain!! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!
I ordered the wrong size from Amazon. When I tried to return them, Amazon directed me to the Lift Your Table company. I spoke with Bethany and she helped me figure out what size I need. She did not charge me for the additional expense of the larger size. She only charged me $15 for shipping. She told me that I didn’t need to return the original set but to gift them to someone who could use them. She was very professional and very kind. I highly recommend this “Made in America” company!
The NuChair design makes sense, so I bought one, and my staff love it! It does offload the low back when sitting and maintains tall strong sitting posture while sitting. In 40 years of practice I have never seen a chair that can deliver good ergonomics and postural support. The NuChair is the NuWay to get it done. Bravo.
These are a life-saver. I am going to get them for all of my work tables. No more hunching over! And, I can stand and work if I want to. We know that sitting is really bad for us. This was a VERY worthwhile purchase.
I am a DJ and I get tired of bending over all the time on a normal table. This thing did the trick! It puts everything at a much easier level so I can see it and reach for it so much easier.
Wow! These were the perfect solution to use at our food booth during a big event. Instead of purchasing another stainless steel prep table, we used these to elevate our normal 8′ tables and they were a lifesaver! Or should I say back-saver?
After a month, it’s really hard to complain about much regarding the chair. My shoulders, neck, and lower back all feel the difference, and as a 25 year tattooist, I feel the effects of work on my body. I train, stretch, and eat well, but also have a massive neck injury that has threatened to take me from my career, and it feels like this chair adds some years back!
My only suggestions would be for a more breathable, simple to clean material. Wearing jeans in this chair can get fairly sweaty, but I’m working around that.
Additionally, the other thought I had was to offer a shock height option for those of us that are tall. I suggested it already to the staff, and they provided me full specs on the current shock so I would be able to find a larger one utilizing the same width dimensions.
Great product, great communication, and a great company
