As an office worker, you know sitting all day is bad for you. You’ve even got your standing desk ready to go. If your work surface is a folding table, all you need is a set of folding table risers.

Remember when you’re standing:
1. Don’t stand still!
A rigid posture won’t do you any favors. Alternate putting your feet up on a footrest, so both legs get a break. Stretching is good too. Especially as you’re easing into the new posture! Once you’re comfortable, try doing exercises like calf raises.
Walk around while you’re on phone calls or go to your colleague’s office instead of emailing or messaging.
The more activity, the better.
2. Take breaks from standing.
You’re likely to feel pretty terrible if you try standing all day! Especially at the beginning. Work up slowly to avoid pains and cramps. You might start off doing more sitting than standing. As long as you’re alternating between the two, that’s OK.
Human bodies evolved to move. The more motion, the better. Standing desks let you be productive even when you’re not sitting. Which is great for you and your boss (make sure you show him or her this article!)
3. Good ergonomics saves your back.
Standing with bad posture isn’t much better than sitting with bad posture. Make sure when you’re standing that you’re straight up. Elbows should be parallel to the floor when you’re dealing with keyboards and mice. Suck the tummy in, just like your mom said to. Your monitor should be right where your gaze is when you’re looking straight ahead.
4. Anti-fatigue mats can be your friend.
Best to save the heels or other shoes more suited for sitting for the days you’re not planning to stand at the desk.
Standing is fatiguing even in comfy shoes, if you do it for long periods of time. These mats cushion your feet, letting you stand longer.

I set up an area on my back porch for bleaching and dyeing shirts. Unfortunately, the tables I got didn't have adjustable heights. My back was constantly aching from bending over a table for prolonged periods. I ordered these after seeing all the reviews on Amazon. What a lifesaver! I ordered the wrong size from Amazon. When I tried to return them, Amazon directed me to the Lift Your Table company. I spoke with Bethany and she helped me figure out what size I need. She did not charge me for the additional expense of the larger size. She only charged me $15 for shipping. She told me that I didn’t need to return the original set but to gift them to someone who could use them. She was very professional and very kind. I highly recommend this “Made in America” company!
The NuChair design makes sense, so I bought one, and my staff love it! It does offload the low back when sitting and maintains tall strong sitting posture while sitting. In 40 years of practice I have never seen a chair that can deliver good ergonomics and postural support. The NuChair is the NuWay to get it done. Bravo.
These are a life-saver. I am going to get them for all of my work tables. No more hunching over! And, I can stand and work if I want to. We know that sitting is really bad for us. This was a VERY worthwhile purchase.
I am a DJ and I get tired of bending over all the time on a normal table. This thing did the trick! It puts everything at a much easier level so I can see it and reach for it so much easier.
Wow! These were the perfect solution to use at our food booth during a big event. Instead of purchasing another stainless steel prep table, we used these to elevate our normal 8′ tables and they were a lifesaver! Or should I say back-saver?
After a month, it’s really hard to complain about much regarding the chair. My shoulders, neck, and lower back all feel the difference, and as a 25 year tattooist, I feel the effects of work on my body. I train, stretch, and eat well, but also have a massive neck injury that has threatened to take me from my career, and it feels like this chair adds some years back!
My only suggestions would be for a more breathable, simple to clean material. Wearing jeans in this chair can get fairly sweaty, but I’m working around that.
Additionally, the other thought I had was to offer a shock height option for those of us that are tall. I suggested it already to the staff, and they provided me full specs on the current shock so I would be able to find a larger one utilizing the same width dimensions.
